Every year, Rutgers University holds a weeklong event that empowers the women on campus through various activities such as a phenomenal women’s brunch, bra decorating, body positivity yoga, and more. For 2018, we wanted to highlight diverse women and body types, and encourage them to be bold and accepting.
The illustrations on the digital and print advertisements were inspired by some of the incredible women in my life, from my mother to my best friends.
Using bold type that is stretched and compressed to form the title and dates references how every person is unique and should be celebrated.
At the events for Like a Girl Week, Rutgers University distributed mini chapstick giveaways. The label was designed to fit visually with the rest of the event, and used their #LAGW2018 hashtag.
